Courtney Campbell spent only one day working with our teachers and students but her visit and passion for storytelling continues to live on in our whole school community-many weeks after her visit. She integrated elements of the PYP and Units of Inquiry to ensure that her visit linked to what the students were studying in class and through a lively, musical and comical manner, the students were able to learn about the power of storytelling. Students continue to walk around the school singing and acting as her characters-the ones that bring her own life experiences to the students.
John Kolosowski Director of Library, International School of Geneva.
Courtney Campbell is truly gifted in the art of creating joy. Her presentations engaged the children in the most simple of ways- no props, no technology just the simple art of using music, expression and stories to enrapture an audience! Michell Rinker-Librarian -Nanjing International School
Courtney Campbell was a joy to have at our school! The kids are mesmerized when she tells stories, and are clapping and singing along when she plays guitar and entertains us with her original lyrics! We all found ourselves humming and singing her songs, even long after she'd left. I have hosted Courtney at both the international schools for which I have worked, one in Shenzhen and one in Kuala Lumpur, and have been wonderfully pleased both times by her enthusiasm, her professionalism, and her kind personality. Suji Dehart-Librarian International School of Kuala Lumpur
I heard a lot of great things about your presentations from teachers at ASIJ. I'm happy you made it to our school. Music does something to people that is on a different level altogether and I will remember many of our kids belting out your songs. Wouter Laleman-Librarian American International School Japan
Courtney Campbell entertained our students with a variety of fun and lively songs and stories. Children from 3 years to 7 years thought she was marvelous and the adults also enjoyed her shows. We will definitely be inviting Courtney for a return visit. Siobhan Roulston-Primary Teacher Librarian The Garden International School Kuala Lumpur
The parents are raving about you. Children have gone home singing your songs and repeating stories you told. The parents are overwhelmed. They all are hoping you will come back and sing to them! Amanda Greenslade-ES librarian Desa Park International School-Kuala Lumpur
A parent approached me and was asking for your email address or any way to communicate with you. She says that her daughter has been talking non-stop about you. Your visit was very empowering to our students and staff. It was the first time that Tenby experienced a storyteller who incorporated music and movement with our students. There was a mass participation from the audience. You already gathered fans. Ruth Silva-Teacher Librarian-Tenby Schools, Setia Eco Park Kuala Lumpur
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your superb performances yesterday! You were absolutely fabulous and I have heard nothing but great comments about you. Oh Courtney, my thanks to YOU for the perfect performance! You are so talented, funny and relaxed with kids - they immediately connect with you. And I appreciate how down-to-earth, warm and caring you are. Kate Patrick-Youth Librarian North Bend/Fall City Libraries-King County Library System
It is such fun to have a performer who clearly loves what they do, loves the kids, and has a wondrously funny sense of humor for all things just to round out the deal. :) We will definitely need to do this again and you have an open invitation to my story times. Sharon Chastain-Youth Librarian Maple Valley Library- King County Library System
A delightful entertainer! Great songs and stories. Engaging, interactive performances for families and children 3 years and older. Rayma Norton-Children's Service/Reference Librarian-Redmond Library
You do a wonderful show!! And thank you so much too for charging an affordable rate for a top-rate show. Central Programs funds only go so far and our Friends of the Library group doesn't have a lot of money. It's so great to be able to offer an excellent show like yours and not break the budget. You are worth every dollar and many, many more! :-) Monica Sands-Children's Librarian-Black Diamond & Covington Branches-King County Libraries
Courtney works magic with the kids! Her stories and songs are so well tuned that soon she has them in the palm of her hand. Tina Bixby-Youth Librarian-Lynden Library, Washington
Thanks to Einstein Elementary for hosting our Playing with Words Program today! And thanks to Rayma for booking Courtney Campbell.
